Secard Pools Essential Safety Protocol During the COVID-19 Crisis
Secard Pools is committed to the public health and safety of our customers, communities and employees during these unprecedented times. Our highest priority is the safety of all staff and customers alike. We continue to take all CDC recommended precautions necessary to ensure their safety and well-being are undoubtedly met. Here are the steps we are taking in response to COVID-19.
Essential Retail Store Locations
- Any employee(s) who are experiencing symptoms or have been in close contact with someone who has symptoms or has been exposed to COVID-19 are asked to stay home.
- If any employee(s) are uncomfortable reporting to work, we are offering flexibility during this time to accommodate their needs on a per case basis.
- We have stopped all vendor in-store visits to prevent non-essential personnel from entering our stores.
- We have canceled all business travel, and reduced store-to-store travel typically done by our Upper Management. This mandatory travel restriction will help reduce the exposure risk to our store employees.
- We are routinely sanitizing surfaces, including payment counters and other frequent touch points, following each customer interaction.
- We have disposable gloves and/or hand sanitizer and protective masks available for all employees. Masks are required to be worn at all times. Sanitize hands and/or wear disposable gloves as necessary.
- Employees are practicing social distancing (6 ft.) during interactions with our customers, including no handshakes.
- We are limiting the number of customers and employees in stores at one time to eight individuals maximum and enforcing social distancing practices for those individuals, including tape markers to delineate a distance of 6 feet.
- We have reduced store hours to limit traffic and provide ample time to clean and sanitize stores.
- We have implemented and are encouraging curbside pickup at our stores to further allow for social distancing between our employees and the public.
- We are requesting customers pay using credit card chip technology or Debit card chip technology to promote contactless methods used during sales transactions.
- We are routinely sanitizing all inside and outside store pool, spa and swim spa displays and touch points as needed.
- We are requiring all customers to respectively wear masks or bandana face coverings upon arrival to our retail stores. If a customer does not have the proper face coverings, one may be provided. Any unprotected customers may be refused entry.
- Any customer who has signs or symptoms or when asked answers “yes” of having COVID–19 illness will not be permitted entry for the protection of employees and other customers present.
Retail Stores Curbside / Parking Lot Pick Up
3 Easy steps to accommodate customer pick up of essential pool & spa supplies, parts and accessories.
- Customer can call into any Secard pools retail location during published operating store hours and place order.
- Upon customer arrival at the retail store location, the customer can phone the store and notify Secard pools that they are here and have payment ready.
- Secard Pools employee will process the payment and deliver the purchased product to the car for the convenience and safety of all parties.
Sales Staff In-Home / Site Visit/ Delivery Procedures
- Our employees will remain home if they are experiencing any symptoms, or if they have come into close contact with someone with symptoms of COVID-19.
- We have disposable gloves and/or hand sanitizer and protective masks available for all employees. Masks are required to be worn at all times. Sanitize hands and/or wear disposable gloves as necessary.
- Employees are practicing social distancing (6 ft.) during interactions with our customers, including no handshakes.
- We have implemented contact-free site visits to further social distancing efforts between our employees and the public. All employees will call the customer upon arrival and instruct the homeowner to unlock / open gate to access the job site for inspection and evaluation or delivery of product.
- We will offer contact-free sales presentations if the customer requests via phone, Facetime, Zoom or email.
- We will offer contact-free document signing if the customer requests via e-mail, fax or U.S. Mail.
- If any employee(s) are uncomfortable reporting to work, we are offering flexibility during this time to accommodate their needs on a per case basis.
- We will offer contact-free payment through our company website online payment portal.
In Field Service/ Delivery / Crew members
- Our employee(s) will remain home if they are experiencing any symptoms, or if they have come into close contact with someone with symptoms of COVID-19.
- Each service vehicle will be sanitized inside and on external touch points daily.
- Employees are practicing social distancing (6 ft.) during interactions with our customers, including no handshakes.
- We have disposable gloves and/or hand sanitizer and protective masks available for all employees. Masks are required to be worn at all times. Sanitize hands and/or wear disposable gloves as necessary.
- We have implemented contact-free service calls to further social distancing efforts between our employees and the public.
- We have implemented contact-free site visits to further social distancing efforts between our employees and the public. All employees will call the customer upon arrival and instruct the homeowner to unlock/ open gate to access the job site for inspection and evaluation or product delivery.
- If any employee(s)are uncomfortable reporting to work, we are offering flexibility during this time to accommodate their needs on a per case basis.
Corporate Headquarters & Distribution Center – Rancho Cucamonga
- Our corporate offices remain open to support the essential work our retail store members are doing, with a limited number of employees of the team working in the building. (Some at reduced hours).
- In accordance with public health guidelines for crowd size and social distancing, a number of team members of our corporate office team is working from home when possible to limit the number of employees working in the building.
- We have disposable gloves and/or hand sanitizer and protective masks available for all employees. Masks are required to be worn at all times. Sanitize hands and/or wear disposable gloves as necessary.
- The corporate offices are regularly sanitized, and those in the building are following the CDC’s hygiene and distancing recommendations for preventing the spread of the virus during the daily use of the restrooms and other common areas.
- We have stopped all vendor visits to prevent non-essential personnel from entering our building.
- If any employee(s) are uncomfortable reporting to work, we are offering flexibility during this time to accommodate their needs on a per case basis.
- Employees who are experiencing symptoms or have been in close contact with someone who has symptoms or has been exposed to COVID-19 are asked to stay home.
- We are performing frequent sanitization of common areas and high-touch surfaces.
- We are deep cleaning and sanitizing all facilities frequently.
- Employees are practicing social distancing (6 ft.).
- We have staggered crew member start times as well as staggered two separate and isolated shifts – one being Monday – Thursday and the other being Tuesday - Friday to reduce exposure and allow for improved spacing during operations.
- We have revised all training procedures to maintain proper social distancing and/or increased safety protective gear needs.
- We have created new dedicated safety protocol compliance staff to ensure all safety standards are maintained.
- We have modified store delivery processes to minimize driver and store interaction.
- We have revised vendor pickup processes to minimize driver and vendor interaction.
- We have reduced delivery frequency and off-cycle shipments including imports.
